Keep your legs healthy!
Advice from a vascular surgeon (phlebologist) will help you:
- Do not overeat, and keep an eye on your weight.
- Take a contrast shower for your legs every day, alternating cold and warm water.
- Move more (walk more often, avoid using the lift whenever possible, etc.)
- When sitting or standing for long periods, change the position of your legs more often.
- Take the stairs more often
- At the end of the working day, or during breaks, lie down for ten minutes with your legs raised. This will improve venous outflow and therefore reduce the strain on your blood vessels.
- If necessary, a specialist will help you choose compression hosiery – tights, knee-high socks or stockings in the right size – which help venous blood drain efficiently from the bottom upwards.
For problems with the leg veins, doctors often prescribe venotonics.
One of the most frequently prescribed venotonics is Phlebodia 600*, which is manufactured in France.
One tablet contains 600 mg of diosmin, which is the optimally effective daily dose for a venotonic effect. Phlebodia 600 helps reduce the main symptoms of varicose veins: pain, swelling and heaviness in the legs. At the same time, a course of Phlebodia 600 usually lasts only 2 months, taking 1 tablet a day, preferably in the morning before meals.
